All Hand-stitched. Same designs for all pieces. However, each one of them are different as the artisans enjoy their own “Sashiko Unshin” stitching. There are no “right” or “wrong” – which means they are all different and good.

No right and No wrong. However, it doesn’t mean “whatever is good”. They all tried to be better & they all enjoy Unshin. Therefore, it becomes a “one unified piece” of Sashiko stitching. I hope I can do this in English as well. First, I gotta translate the article (report) that I wrote in Japanese.

10月初旬のオフ会が開催されていれば、そこでご紹介する予定だった作品。26人の麻の葉プロジェクトの一枚です。「針目はその人を映し出す」と信じてやまないのですが、それはつまり、「みんな違って、みんな良い」という言葉を具現化する手段の一つだと思っています。正解も間違いもない刺し子の中で、それでも上手になりたいと練習をし、運針を楽しんで下さる皆様の、26枚の麻の葉を一枚のタペストリーにしました。一つ一つの針目に、各々の方の思いが宿っているのを感じると、やっぱり手仕事ってチカラがあるんだなぁと思います。いつか、実物を多くの方に見て頂けるように、いろいろ検討してみます！
