I just realized that I have 10K subscribers on Youtube. Thank you! Among other “kind of Sashiko” videos, I will keep sharing the Sashiko I have received. Family comes first, current & future students come second, so Youtube is not in high priority… but it is a very necessary media to achieve my goal – to share the Sashiko.
☆
With celebrating this milestone, I am thinking of making a “personal Q&A” video. If you have any questions about me (Atsushi), please comment here. I will make a video based on the questions Please be advised that I will not pick up a “technical question” such as “how to stitch Sashiko”, to be fair with other students. I will answer other general questions about Atsushi. The purpose of this personal Q&A is to share who Atsushi is on top of the Sashiko I am sharing. The more specific the question is, the better I can answer. Thank you for your interest. (Youtube is here: https://www.youtube.com/sashico)

Thank you for reading my messages here. It became a “massive” come back after a few days of “recharging” (vacant). This final post for today is not related to the comment I received. It is about DMs I receive when I share these harassments. 【】is the phrase I receive. ☆…

As Sashiko and Boro become more popular, it seems I see “Vintage Sashiko Furoshiki” for sale. These vintage Sashiko Furoshikis look somewhat similar to the photo on today’s post – Sashiko patterns on 4 corners. Furoshiki – often about 105cm (Mihaba) square of good vintage fabric with Sashiko stitching is…

A piece of mindfood to share. Have you thought about the “condition” when one (cultural) practice would be buried in history? Is it when the last artisan/craftsman decided to quit practicing their art/craft? Or when the artisans/craftsmen cannot make their ends by working in their profession? Both cases can be…
