atsushijp, 2019年9月16日

As the previous advice, I will actively advertise what we do – the Japanese Sashiko. Before, I used to say, “It would be great if we can share the Sashiko we practice”. From now on, I say, “Please share what the Japanese Sashiko we practice is like”. ☆
We share a lot of articles. It is sometimes overwhelming especially when someone doesn’t have much time. So, I made a “one-page website” where they can learn what we do in one scroll of PC or Phone. Please share this website with anyone who may be interested in Sashiko. I will keep updating this page as I enrich the contents on our website. Please help us to spread this website. As much as I appreciate the cultural alternation, some of the core concepts of Sashiko are misinterpreted. Your help would be very much appreciated to pass down the “Japanese Sashiko” to the next generation.

https://www.keiko.japanesesashiko.com/

I made this account to share “Sashiko Stories” that are not introduced in English well. So, I write in more contexts in English than in Japanese. However, it doesn’t mean that I have less words for/in Japanese to share. The comments here from Japanese stitchers (or in Japanese) are so…

It is not my intention to hurt anyone. So I spend so much time to reflect what I write – being mindful of what I say. Well. I am mindful and let’s see how the Sashiko culture is already “re-painted” in English. ☆ Sashiko is NOT a mending technique. Slow-Stitching…

We live in such a confusing society. One side defines what we do as the Art. Another group says that I am a whinger (as over-reacting & exaggerating). I always say that the principle of Sashiko exists in the Japanese ordinary. So, yes, for Japanese, Sashiko may not be such…
