As the previous advice, I will actively advertise what we do – the Japanese Sashiko. Before, I used to say, “It would be great if we can share the Sashiko we practice”. From now on, I say, “Please share what the Japanese Sashiko we practice is like”. ☆
We share a lot of articles. It is sometimes overwhelming especially when someone doesn’t have much time. So, I made a “one-page website” where they can learn what we do in one scroll of PC or Phone. Please share this website with anyone who may be interested in Sashiko. I will keep updating this page as I enrich the contents on our website. Please help us to spread this website. As much as I appreciate the cultural alternation, some of the core concepts of Sashiko are misinterpreted. Your help would be very much appreciated to pass down the “Japanese Sashiko” to the next generation.

https://www.keiko.japanesesashiko.com/

“Cultural Appropriation” explained the pain & sorrow I felt when I saw someone introduce Sashiko with their own filtered information & minimizing the stories. This “filtering” often (not always) is caused by the privileged people, and therefore, some people misunderstand my message that I am trying to exclude all the…

45th day of “Stay Home (since my daughter started staying home)”. The extraordinary days became somewhat the ordinary, yet it is just an adjustment and our body & mind are not as ordinary as they appear. In those extraordinary days, we breathe very shallow. “Shallowness” is not good in both…

This is an archive of Sashiko Live Streaming in English, on Friday September 18th “Whatever” can be a quite violent word when they talk about the foreign culture that they are not familier with. For example, it is understandable to talk about the threads for the Sashiko stitching in Japanese…
