This is an archive of Sashiko Live Streaming in English, on Friday October 16th.

“Boro is not something we make – it is something we bring it up.”

It is very difficult (almost impossible) to make the authentic Boro in today’s society. However, with fully using our imagination, it is possible to follow how the Japanese would have made the Boro piece.

This is a scarf for myself to make a Boro in 3 years from now – or even later.

I will document all of the process so we can share what “Boro” really is.

It started as a quiet Live Streaming.

I had several questions toward the end of session, and I enjoy sharing my feeling & insight.

The Sashiko Online Class is still available for the month of October.

Online Sashiko Class | Anywhere Anytime.

I share much more honest & personal story about Sashiko on Patreon. I appreciate your support there.

All of the supply & tools I use in the Live Streaming is available in our store.

Thank you for your support in passing down the Sashiko.

Almost done with preparing the Natural Dye Sashiko Thread product page on our online store. The basic is done… so they are available online now! (I will update more information accordingly…) Gray Color has 4 different kind Gray. That’s how difficult and how interesting Natural Dye is. やっと日本語のウェブサイトでも草木染めの糸をご購入頂ける用に更新完了。一つ一つの手作業は大変です。灰色ヒトツとっても、微妙な違いの糸が4種類。大変だけど、だからこそ美しいんです。 2017-07-06 23:21:25…

Another Boro which Keiko is working on now. The end of year. The beginning of new year. We are happy to play with Boros. 年末も襤褸に向き合って。 直せば直すほど技術はやっぱり付いてきている気がします。 2017-12-26 14:46:48 Source
