This is an archive of Sashiko Live Streaming in English, on Friday October 16th.

“Boro is not something we make – it is something we bring it up.”

It is very difficult (almost impossible) to make the authentic Boro in today’s society. However, with fully using our imagination, it is possible to follow how the Japanese would have made the Boro piece.

This is a scarf for myself to make a Boro in 3 years from now – or even later.

I will document all of the process so we can share what “Boro” really is.

It started as a quiet Live Streaming.

I had several questions toward the end of session, and I enjoy sharing my feeling & insight.

The Sashiko Online Class is still available for the month of October.

Online Sashiko Class | Anywhere Anytime.

I share much more honest & personal story about Sashiko on Patreon. I appreciate your support there.

All of the supply & tools I use in the Live Streaming is available in our store.

Boro is not a word for stitching technique or specific design. Boro is not a term for a patchwork with recycled fabric. ☆ One may say, “It’s just a word. (Don’t over-react)”. Well, the word carries a lot of “images”. In order to protect who I am as a Japanese,…
