Some of the Natural Colors we offer have “Layers” of Natural Dyes. Not all of the colors come from a one-dye process. Some require steps to make it happen, and this “Indigo Green” is one of these that requires careful & adventurous steps. Since Keiko’s main purpose for Dyeing Sashiko Thread is for her usage, she prefers to dye them in very small pots – like 10 skeins in each color. One skein by One skein (one bunch of 10 skeins by one bunch), she carefully “adds” colors. I asked her to try to have both Dark & Light shades of Green, and I am happy to announce we have them now here.
☆
Some may wonder… “Why does she prefer Natural Dyes?”. On top of its beauty of course, there are stories for why. I introduce it in our Story Account – @SashikoStory. Please check it out to learn why we keep dying our Sashiko Thread in Natural Ingredients.

Stitching Sample with our Variegated Colored Sashiko thread. Blue, Green, Red, and White. The color changes create interesting results of running stitch. Yes, the Sashiko’s original image is Indigo fabric and white thread (There are reasons for that, and I will share it someday somewhere), but I also like the…
