However, at the same time, I prefer the stitching within rhythm than “caring too much to be precise and stithching slow” stitching. It is an interesting part of Sashiko. 「綺麗な一目刺しは、ほんの少し交差する」っと、ある場所で説明をしたのですが、その「綺麗度合い」にこだわることが全てだと言えないのが刺し子の面白いところ。”完璧”な針目を作るよりも、リズムにのった針目の方が、綺麗だったりするのです。理想は、リズムに乗りながら、結果として完璧な針目……という刺し子なのですが、そこまでの道筋は長そうです。
