I spend a few days to refurbish an antique furniture. It was my first trial, but I enjoyed the process a lot. It resonate my experience with Sashiko. “Upcycle” ater all.

数日かけてじっくり取り組んでいたアンティーク家具の再生も、今日ワックスを塗って完成。実はアンティーク家具を購入するのは初めてだったのだけど、刺し子に似たものがあって楽しかったです。大変だけど、量販店の家具では味わえない何かがあるね。刺し布とも相性抜群。いつかアンティークの仕事机、探してみようかな。 —

    アンティークいいですよね。修理しながら使っていくというのは刺し子と似ているところがあるのかもしれません
