We would say that we have accomplished the Natural Indigo Dye with Sukumo (Japanese traditional method). Some tiny parcels of Indigo Dye got stuck into the softly twisted Sashiko thread. However, we decided to introduce them because the parcels can be removed when we use the thread in Sashiko stitching.
There are absolutely room to improve. We keep working on it. For now, they are coming up to our online store soon with parcels, that can be the evidence of hand-dye. 🙂 「

We can find many patterns in Sashiko. A Variety of Simple Patterns can be one reason Sashiko became this popular. However, there is no such a thing as “Sashiko Patterns”. We have many Geometric Patterns to use in Sashiko stitching, but they are not the patterns for Sashiko. It is…

I enjoy sharing the “ordinary” (which is often related to animism & Shinto) of Japanese culture & Sashiko. It is my pleasure to read your feedback to celebrate the difference/similarity. Thank you. Come to think of it, in fact, “Sharing Sashiko” should be like this – not only the “how…
