I wanted to share this beautiful photo, Keiko & our daughtor in 2015. Atsushi was a stay at home father, and Keiko was just about to start SashiCo Project.

Even before the project, Keiko put Sashiko cloth on in an ordinary day. Regardless of the plans for the day, she wore the Sashiko Jacket. It is the origin of Sashiko. Ordinary Sashiko in Ordinary Days is Keiko’s origin in production, and Atsushi’s origin of Passion to Sashiko. Sashiko is an ordinary needlework that the ordinary Japanese practiced.

写真整理をしていて、刺し子が中心のものではないのだけど、どうしても紹介したい写真が。女性から女性へ。祖母から孫へ。恵子さんから里央菜へ。この写真が原点かなぁと。二人の笑顔が素敵なので紹介させて下さい。

まだ俺（淳）が専業主夫で子育てに全力で奮闘していて。恵子さんも刺し子の再開の想いを抱えて、ただ具体的な一歩を躊躇していて。そんな状況でも、やっぱり刺し子の服を着ているのです。日常にある刺し子。日常の中で触れる刺し子。恵子さんの作品作りの原点でもあり、僕の刺し子への想いへの原点でもあります。ちょっとした優しさがある世界が続けば良いなあと。
