I appreciate all of the comments you leave on this account. I am sorry that I can only write a few replies… due to the limited time I have. Yes, I sometimes choose to be angry. Yes, I sometimes feel pain by someone’s “free-interpretation”. However, I think I don’t spread the “negative” messages – my messages are just idiotically honest. If you are new here, please try to read all of the posts in the past. Surprisingly, I barely repeat the same contents & photos. This is thanks to my surroundings – we have so much accumulated in Sashiko – both stories and photos.

☆

If you read the messages mindfully, you will find them “welcoming”. Despite occasional aggressive attacks to what I write from people I don’t know, it is NOT my intention to make enemies. In fact, my intention is the opposite. I want to make friends who mutually share respect for Sashiko & Japanese culture. I want you to be a member of the ship I am on. Therefore, I keep sharing about the Sashiko we practice. (I am not the captain of the boat. Sashiko is.)

☆

If the world is filled with only negative & ignorance, I have already given up sharing the Sashiko. I met, read, listened to, saw, many kind & caring voices regardless of the difference in culture. Before being defensive, please try to read what I would like to share. If you feel what I write is negative, then please listen to yourself if what I write reflects what you think. I want you to enjoy Sashiko with good understanding. Therefore, I share something I should/want to hide.

Winter is coming.

Winter is coming. I realize that a cartain would be a nice idea to insulate the house better. So, I am patchworking the white fabric I used to use for the decorating the table and some of the torn & ripped Pajamas I had (and kept for some reasons). ☆…

We used many Natural Dye Sashiko Thread (Hand Dyed by Keiko) on the Jacket I introduced a week ago. So many stories to share on this. Among many varieties of interpretation of Sashiko, I believe, this is the Sashiko Jacket. Let’s say: More than 300 hundred years ago, women gathered…
