We used many Natural Dye Sashiko Thread (Hand Dyed by Keiko) on the Jacket I introduced a week ago. So many stories to share on this. Among many varieties of interpretation of Sashiko, I believe, this is the Sashiko Jacket. Let’s say: More than 300 hundred years ago, women gathered in a small village and did Sashiko. Today, in 2019, over the Internet, regardless of gender and generation, we all stitch together with sharing the core. It is our goal to share the Sashiko – and the Sashiko in which could be a place for someone. ☆

Another beautiful photo from the Sashiko Exhibition with Otsuchi Sashiko. The combination of Sashiko and Antique furniture is something. I don’t know how to describe it, but remind me of something. 2018-03-10 13:09:00 Source

The lecture in Quiltcon 2023 was one big challenge for me. You could probably tell my challenge from the title: [Japanese Sashiko Today as Cultural Sustainability]. One possible way of composing the lecture is based on “Show & Tell”. I believe it would have been one good lecture as well….

I would like to keep this account as “Sashiko Story”, where you can read & watch the Sashiko we practice instead of a “Sashiko Business” Account. Therefore, I prefer to write a story rather than an announcement. Well… at the same time, thinking about “Business” is important to keep it…
