I am working on the “Business Plan” of Upcycle Stitches LLC. It is my responsibility to explain what we would like to do throughout our business. ☆
Providing information is one aspect of our missino. However, we would like to provide the “Cycle of Wisdom” of upper half. The Internet put our society into the lower half. Everything is about speed, efficiency, and how to adjust one to the most wanted version (Optimize yourself). Well… I don’t want that.
☆
I am thinking to make another “Sashiko Story” about this sheet of paper. Explaining things in the second language is much more challanging than it seems like.
☆

Today’s live was full of “Kasane (=Overlay Stitchng)” Kasane is the basic of Sashiko, yet it is troublesome to do. Kasane play a role as a knot in Sashiko stitching. After washing the product lightly, we will cut all the leftover thread so called “Itokiri” For today, the photo of…

Once again, I would like to share my question. “Why do you call it Sashiko?” ☆ Please do not get defensive right away. I am NOT criticizing anything here. If you find it upsetting, please read my previous posts. I welcome any interpretations of Sashiko (when Japanese culture is respected)….
