We sometimes enjoy “new Sashiko” by letting our inspiration go wild. Do you see the difference of these Sashiko stitchies from the ordinary stitches?

Keiko isn’t 100% happy about the result, and it became her “work-cloth” even without finishing the pattern, but hey, the real beauty can be created in these trials, right? —
新しい刺し子……というか、柔軟な遊び心はとても大切です。恵子さんの、「やってみたけど、失敗でしたwww」という写真です。どういう刺し子か写真で分かりますか?

2本取りで針目を大きくした後、その隙間を1本取りで刺し子をするというもの。動きを出そうと試みたとのこと。でも気に入らないので、いまは仕事着に。そう。正解などないので、遊べば良いのです。そこから生まれる美しさもあるわけで。
