[Announcement]
☆

Today, I made a big change in this account. For more than 2 years, I had a policy of “No-Blocking other accounts”. This is based on my (stupid) idealism that everyone should be able to share what they want on this account & see (learn from) what I share. I am (was) idealistic enough to believe that people may change if I keep asking them to read what I write. There are many fortunate cases that we came to a mutual understanding & I am very happy about it.

☆

However, enough is enough. I have(had) a few trolls who do not even know what I am sharing (One of them called what I do “Shibori”.) I believe I did everything I could do to have mutual understanding, but again, enough is enough. Since I introduced the policy of “No-Blocking” in this account previously, I am announcing the change I made here.

☆

This change doesn’t mean that I will block an aggressive account right away. I still have the idealism that I want this account to be a place where we can mutually learn. Do not worry too much to leave the comment. I really appreciate your comments. However, when you would like to challenge me, then please prepare yourself by reading what I have been writing. We need to be on the same page to have a valid discussion. Other than that, I will block those who need help because they seem to be happy by leaving some nasty comments to someone they don’t know. I need to learn how to protect myself on top of my idealism as well. Thank you for your understanding.

“Cultural Appropriation” is a sensitive & difficult issue to discuss. Whenever I talk about it, not only do I lose many followers here, but also I receive pretty angry comments. Some think as if I am going to take away something from them. Of course, I am NOT. In fact,…

You are right to block them you only have to accept those that you can cope with. Please keep explaining I wish to learn.

Honestly Atsushi, just treat people on social media the same as you would in person. If somebody was rude and insulting to your face you would walk away. But meeting somebody who asked something challenging, but was polite and rational, you would have a discussion.

I’ve done the same with my FB page, after saying for years I would always listen to what people had to say and try to understand. But when it’s just the same negative rhetoric over and over that does nothing but drag you down, it’s time to let some people go.

Excellent news! Remove trolling voices and you remove their power. I’m happy that you have made this decision.

We cannot change people that are not open to change. But perhaps one day they will be 😃😻
