The view from the summit (of a mountain) would be fantastic. An achievement (certification) of standing on the summit may be valuable for one’s career. After enjoying the views from many small mountains, Keiko and I are on the way to get to the summit of the mountain (Sashiko) as well.

We are not, however, a helicopter pilot to take you to the summit. We do not arrange a lecture to quickly learn the summit for certification. We share what we know how to prepare, enjoy, and challenge the mountains. ☆
The society became pretty superficial – quick answers (solutions) for everything. We do not provide “a quickness” for your Sashiko. We merely lead a group of people who would enjoy all of the processes of climbing the mountains. The analogy with Sashiko and Climbing mountain can express a lot of our understanding. 目的を達成する為の手段に生産性や効率を求められる現代。克服すべき課題や問題には、スピードと的確さが求められる世の中。山頂に立ちたいだけならヘリコプターを使えばいい。登頂したいだけなら機械に頼ればいい。でも、それでは登山の楽しみはわからない。

この例えを使えば、英語圏での刺し子の捉え方にも、上手に説明ができるかもしれません。今の英語圏での刺し子ブームは、「どうやったらヘリコプターに乗れるか」とか「どの機械が登頂を楽にするか」を中心に展開されているような気がします。勿論、刺し子の過程としての楽しみを満喫されていらっしゃる方も沢山いて、僕の投稿を不快に思わず読んでくれる方の大多数は「本来の願い」をしっかりと理解下さっている方です。時にある「お前なぁ」という苛立ちは、この例えで緩和されそうです。全く見ている風景が違う。苛立っても仕方ない。話が通じない。そう思えるからです。そんなに「正解」が欲しいですか？そんなに「無駄」が嫌ですか？矛盾と回り道だらけの日々で見つけられるものも、沢山あると思うのだけど。
