It is always challenging to “price” the “hand-stitched” Sashiko item. As much as I would like to respect the artisans, the pricing is very important to make it sustainable. So, I run a sales event to see what is the right pricing. If you could share if it is too expensive or too reasonable, please comment here. It is all hand-stitched. Help me out to figure out how to price it.

Since I started teaching Sashiko in 2017, I have received a lot of feedback: “I would like to go to Japan with you, Atsushi!”. It is very flattering to hear that kind of compliment – they like the Sashiko I had shared & they are more interested in Japan (Japanese…

I think it’s reasonable, I also have issues pricing hand sewn items, though, so I may not be much help 😏

It’s a challenge! I think your prices are reasonable. Yes, hand stitching costs a lot, but fairness to the artisans matters too. Thank you for your thoughtful work!

It would be helpful if you included the size of the item.

@meowichita The fabric itself is about Size:6″ x 5.5″. The stitched part is about the half. I believe you can jump to the link (nothing fishy) and see the detail there. Thank you! (Sorry for the different account).
