Meet and Greet + Trunk Show: Guest Teaching Artist Atsushi Futatsuya

Join us in welcoming Atsushi Futatsuya to Textile Center this week for a sold-out Sashiko Intensive workshop!

Meet Atsushi during a casual meet-and-greet at Textile Center TODAY, Friday, June 28, and Saturday, June 29, from 12 – 1 pm. Plus, shop a Trunk Show of sashiko goods and supplies from Atsushi in our shop today through tomorrow, Saturday, June 28. We’re open 10 am – 4 pm.

About Atsushi Futatsuya @sashikostory
Born as the third generation of a surviving sashiko family in Gifu prefecture, Atsushi Futatsuya grew up with sashiko surrounded by thread, needles, and lots of fabrics. He launched the “Sashi.Co” project with his mother, Keiko, who has over the thirty-year experience of sashiko stitching as a platform to introduce their masterful works. Starting in 2017, Atsushi introduced the beauty and philosophy of Sashiko to the world through his website and workshops as “Sashiko Story.”
