2nd Day for intensive Sashiko Denim.
☆
Another 3 hours here today, and decided to complete the left leg with Shippou & Logo only. Another 10 hours or so will be time for patching the holes with Sashiko. All-hand-stitching. I usually ask for a few months to complete. This time, only 4 days. 2 more days to go. ☆
We “can” take this kind of work “Sashiko x Denim” as commision work. I usually ask our clients to wait for a few months to a year long to fully complete my Sashiko stitching without stress. When I feel uncomfortable in stitching, the results became non-ideal. This project taught me that I can do a lot when there is a story behind what I do. I will explain the story “why” I am doing this denim later, but that’s what I would like to work on – a story. I am not even halfway through. All of the process is shared on Youtube 😀
☆

Photos of Boro before and after. This is my wallet of keeping my cards when I go out. I bring it out with me pretty much every time I am out, so it ages quite nicely and very much “Boro-like”. I understand that your interests would be “how to make…

Sashiko and Boro. For some reason, many people think that Sashiko and Boro are two separate techniques in Japanese stitching. I have been sharing what these words mean to us on SNS, Youtube, and my website since 2015. You probably know it already, but let me rephrase it again. ☆…
