【Announcement for Supply Price Adjustment】

【Announcement for Supply Price Adjustment】

In this scary inflation in labor & supplies fee, I am adjusting our Sashiko Thread Price a bit lower as of March 31st. Depends on the color & items, but I set the new pricing with about 3~10 % lower than the previous price. Why now? Why in this time? Well, the answer is pretty simple. It is because our products are proudly made in Japan: and the exchange rate of USD and JPY has been significantly different in last few weeks. After confirming it is not the momentally change, I decided to adjust the pricing.
☆
Our business, Upcycle Stitches, do not offer any seasonal discount coupons. Instead, we have a “New-Customer Coupon (For trying Sashiko thread)” and “Returning Customer Coupon (for keep using out thread)”. These coupons are still available even after the price adjustment. This price adjustment “may” be temporary, and it may go back to the original price without further notice. With considering both exchange rate, (increasing) Shipping Fee, and inflation rate, there is a possibility to bring them up again.
☆
As of now, the new price is “Good to Go”. Unfortunately, the inventory is still very low. When I follow the economic principal of “Supply and Demand”, I probably don’t have to do this price adjustment. However, I would like to be as honest as I can for pricing, too, as I try to share my honest stories on @SashikoStory.
☆
The store is on our Upcycle Stitches Official Website (https://upcyclestitches.com/store/). Thank you for your continuous support!

There aren’t “specific techniques” to make (To-Be-) Boro, but there are millions of ideas to make interesting To-Be-Boro pieces. The steps are very simple. (1) Fall in Love with a piece of Fabric → (2) Take Care of it (or Use it) → (3) Sashiko stitching (strengthening it or mend…
