Another ”quick” answer for a question (or more like a worry from them). Some advised me saying, “Thank you for sharing your technique and knowledge. However, shouldn’t you protect them as Intellectual Property (IP)?”. Very true. I probably should, but I won’t. Although I haven’t given up the copyright, my primary goal is to share the “more fact-base” understanding of Japanese Sashiko & Boro. By “fact-base”, I am not talking about Right or Wrong in Sashiko, more like the voice from a native-Japanese who currently practice Sashiko after so many years of experience. ☆
Feel free to quote what I say/write here. Share the wisdom with your friends and family. I will not patrol around to find someone’s using my words. If someone is stealing my words intentionally, then they know that they are doing the wrongful things more than anyone. It is not me to accuse them. After all, I am a believer of (good) humanity. Well, of course, mentioning our account (@Sashi.Co) would be very helpful to achieve our goal – to share the Sashiko we practice. Other than that, we are simply passing down the wisdom we inherited from the Japanese who became the part of heritage and history. What I say/do is not someone’s property. It belongs to humanity, for that matter. ☆
Your support to this journey is always appreciated – by joining Sashiko workshops, purchasing the Sashiko supplies from us, and supporting on Patreon. The links are available from the profile.

It was another great success of Sashiko Stitching Workshop in NYC with Purl Soho (@purlsoho). The organizer of the workshop respond professionally, and I appreciate the respect as well. One small regret is… that I completely forgot to take photos because I was so focused for 6 hours. I hope…

I completed the second Sashiko mask. It isn’t easy to be a home-school teacher & business manager & artisan. Well… I am not as good a home-school teacher as I wish to be. ☆ Sashiko mask takes about 5~10 times longer to make in comparison to the regular fabric mask….
