Fukin (Japanese Dish Cloth) is one of the most popular Sashiko materials in practicing hand-stitching. In a live-streaming, I am trying to make an art out of ordinary Sashiko items. Let’s see how I explore. ★The first time that I got a bit of dark stain from a Sashiko Thimble….

Sashiko from Japanese Traditional Gaiter. The pattern with Horizontal, Vertical, and Diagnal is very “making sense” pattern to do Sashiko, for the purpose of strengthening the fabric. — We practice Sashiko & learn the culture and concept of it everyday. It is a very fun & enjoyable proces of stitching….

atsushijp, 2018年4月10日

Delivering a pile of Natural Dye Sashiko Thread. It took a long time to complete the mission, but it is very honorable thing to be “needed” and “wanted”. 2018-04-10 19:02:06 Source

Sashiko = needle movement.

atsushijp, 2018年3月20日

Sashiko = needle movement. This is another definition I come up with from my Sashiko days. Move it and Enjoy it.

The beautiful small Asano-Ha goes to Denim Repairing. Hiding the pattern, and showing just part of it will make it more fashionable, I think. 2018-03-14 16:42:15 Source

Just talking of Asano-ha pattern, we can have unlimited numbers of variation. Different side of gAsanoha, diffrent size of stitches. Sashiko represent “freedom” to us. Any Sashiko can be beautiful, and they are all inspirational. Isn’t this small Asanoha with Indigo dye fabric & Indigo Dye thread are beautiful? …

Another good Sunday morning with baking the bread & listening to the livestreaming on Instagram. I am not in a society much (self-employed & stay at home father), but I don’t feel lonely much thanks to the live-streaming 🙂 妻が娘を連れ出してくれた、ちょっとした休憩の日曜日。 2018-03-12 11:46:02 Source

A photo with the “Incredible Boro”. Sashiko Stitches all over the vest in order to keep the form of “fabric” It is indeed “incredible/unbelievable”. 2018-03-11 13:56:38 Source
