Importance of the ordinary.

Importance of the ordinary.
☆
We are scared. I feel the fear of the pandemic. Therefore, please keep the ordinary days. It is absolutely important to follow the safety precaution. Wash your hands. Don’t cough to someone’s face. But, don’t be skeptical of another human to protect yourself more than necessary. The virus is out there, but we all have the ability to fight back, the so-called immune system.
☆
The “ordinary” days will increase the immune system. Eat healthy – enjoy the local green/fruit instead of processed food. Sleep well – instead of searching for the reasons to be freaked out. Laugh & Enjoy days – instead of being stressful to even talk to your close friends. Good diet, good sleep, and good laughter (instead of being stressful) is the best way to prevent this outbreak, I believe.
☆
Enjoy hand-stitching, eating handmade food with lots of caring. The ordinary days in which the ordinary people enjoyed before the “competitive days” may be the key to defeat the outbreak. I will continue Sashiko live streaming because it is my ordinary. I hope this will be a time to remember the importance of the ordinary. ☆
With respecting the professionals who sacrifice their ordinary to resolve the issue, we as the ordinary citizen can try to be as ordinary as possible. At least, that is what I can do. (I am NOT encouraging the socializing. Please stay at home as much as you can to prevent the spreading. I am advocating the importance of “ordinary” with following the necessary precaution.)

Enjoy stitching on Friday night in NYC with a graduate who took my workshop before. She was technically a student, but now, she is a great Sashiko friend. I would like to keep it that way. Everyone can be friends over Sashiko stitching :D. I believe that is how Sashiko…

Happy I hope you enjoy stitching today with her. When it comes to stitching, we don’t need to be physically next to each other. The fabric, needle & thread become like an old telephone to communicate to them – not vivid and clear as the Internet Video chat, but something…

The Indigo Dye Sashiko thread | Murazome = uneven & variegated, have been out of stock for a month or so. Finally we restocked them after receiving the dye-batch in Feb 2019. They are very exclusive color, one of the kind, and all hand-dyed with Indigo by Keiko. ☆ The…

Keeping ourselves and our families as safe as possible needs to be our primary goal while we care for others who may be at greater risk. ❤️

Yes that’s exactly what we should be doing. Well said again. And supporting our local fresh food producers is important too.

Great advice, I work in hospital so I cannot isolate but I will try to be ordinary when not at work.
