In the last 6 years, many have found what we offer & they “chose” us to give a try. I am very grateful to those (you) who made a purchase, and left reviews. An accumulation of reviews is a gem that I receive in this business. The more I read the review, the more I encourage myself to keep offering what we proudly use every day.
☆
Among so many reviews I received, I plan to introduce some. It is so true that it is quite a big gamble to place an online order on an individual online store. It is much easier & safer to purchase from big retailers & chain stores when we can get similar items. It is probably similar to jumping into a small restaurant when we visit a small city in a developed country. We know the taste & pricing would be guaranteed when we choose to dine in a global chain restaurant. However, to “taste” the local & its culture, we sometimes try to give it a shot. The review resonated with me so much, and I really appreciate that we can have a similar approach to our choices.
☆
Our Regular Threads have a length of about 145 meters. With proper usage, we can stitch through one leg of denim (depending on the patterns & the efficiency – but that’s a lot of stitching). Many hours of stitching is promised in using the thread – and even better, this thread will make your stitching more like Sashiko. One may call their stitching Sashiko – but using this thread & following some of the after stitching practice, they will start functioning as “Sashiko”, too! I very much appreciate you giving us a “try” to introduce the Sashiko thread we are using every day for our Sashiko.

There aren’t “specific techniques” to make (To-Be-) Boro, but there are millions of ideas to make interesting To-Be-Boro pieces. The steps are very simple. (1) Fall in Love with a piece of Fabric → (2) Take Care of it (or Use it) → (3) Sashiko stitching (strengthening it or mend…

As I am almost done with annual admin work, I will be spending a little bit more time updating our websites. Well… I am not a good web designer. As a result, I end up having several websites to achieve what I need: (1) UpcycleStitches.Com for the database of all…

I am so happy (and relieved) to have these threads back in stock. They are all “hand-dyed” Sashiko threads by Keiko using the Natural Indigo. As a professional, she tries to produce constant & reproducible colors, yet as we all know, they are all “One-of-a-kind” as she dyes manually using…
