I hope you are getting ready well for the coming up Holiday Events! Some may be traveling to home/vacation. Others may be just vegetating at home. The other may be working throughout the Holidays… Well, I am the last one. As my spouse & my daughter travel over the summer, we plan to stay at home. To save up some funds to travel to Japan again & pay more to the Japanese Artisans, I plan to work through the Holidays. I will ship out the order when USPS are moving. It may take a bit longer to complete the delivery due to the Holiday Season, but I am here to support your Sashiko during the vacation!

I haven’t made an official announcement yet, but I will release a new Web Store in 2023. I plan to spend a bit more time adding more contents & items for this new website. The same price & same items – the difference is the platform as I finally decided to allocate our budget to Shopify where a customer experience (User Interface) may be better. Also, I intend to make the new website as a Web Catalog for “Sold Out” Items. It will take some time as I am a single person business… but I hope it will be a good place to gather inspiration for Sashiko. The current Store on my Upcycle Stitches will be there, too, so you can get the exact same items & service & support from both websites. New website is [https://sashikostory.com/] named after the main account @SashikoStory

One of the special items I am preparing for 2024 in this new store is these 5 shaders of Indigo Dyed Sashiko Threads. I had offered it once in 2023, but it got sold out in a minute or so (because I had prepared only 3 sets…). They say that we have 48 color shades in “Natural Indigo Dye” – and each color has its name. It is quite challenging to offer 48 different shades, but Keiko continues her best to produce stable colors – hopefully we can add 3 more shades to the regular selection. Once I prepare the webpage for this 5 shaders of Indigo Dyed Sashiko Thread, I will post them here, too!

When we place the needle back into the pin cushion after completing the prepared

2024年10月6日

When we place the needle back into the pin cushion after completing the prepared patterns, we honor our hard work. Some may misunderstand that the moment of “completion of stitching” defines Sashiko. In truth, it’s just the beginning. To truly make it Sashiko-like, we must go through several steps—one of…

Sharing the stories about Sashiko we have been practicing became my main activity (@SashikoStory). In order to be a stone in the current trend (by archiving many stories), I prioritize writing stories in English more than anything. At the same time, I also work on the actual process of “preserving”…

I completed all the shipping for Sashiko Fukubukuro 2021 (If your destination is outside of the U.S., please bear with us a little bit more. I am communicating with Keiko – @Sashi.Co to make sure everything is as I had intended). I appreciate all the kind notes. I am very…
