atsushijp, 2023年5月16日

Today is a big day for me (@SashikoStory) to share exciting news on releasing the New Sashiko Online Course with Domestika. For enrollment, please check the link on this account bio, or link from @SashikoStory Account.
☆
I feel a big relief as most of my challenging work is done at this release. I am happy to follow up the new course in Domestika’s exclusive platform (forum). I will go back to the ordinary of sharing our thread, needle, thimble, fabric, and more items to keep our Sashiko somewhat sustainable. As much as I recommend this introductory course for anyone who are interested in Sashiko & would like to learn Sashiko from a Japanese Sashiko practitioner, I still would like to take a careful approach when it comes to “teaching” the Core & Essence of Sashiko – Unshin. For that, please consider taking In-Person Workshop in October in upper NYC, or Online Sashiko Class (Core & Essence) when they are opening. Now, you may need to be on the waiting list for a few weeks.
☆
“Pricing” has been a big struggle in sharing the Sashiko we practice. We use very specific & exclusive supplies that do not adapt the scale merit (Mass-production, Mass-consumption) well. So, in order to make it “sustainable”, I need to keep the pricing reasonable, yet I understand it can be costly. This new course doesn’t require the special supply package – so I hope that this will be a good gateway for anyone who is interested in Sashiko! I have prepared the “Special Supply Package” of materials/supplies I used in the course production, too. They are available via their course website (I am trying to link it here, too).
☆
Upcycle Stitches is a business entity for “profit (for now)” so that many other Sashiko artisans & suppliers can try to be sustainable. I really appreciate your continuous choice & support!!
