Every year, we dye our Sashiko Threads with “Kakishibu” – Japanese Persimmon Tan

Every year, we dye our Sashiko Threads with “Kakishibu” – Japanese Persimmon Tannin. Now several colors from the dye batch in 2022 are on the shelves of our Upcycle Stitches Store. As always, unfortunately, we don’t have many skeins available. However, I am very happy to see another beautiful results for the 2022 batch – I guess, in this challenging time, “continuously” is how we can preserve the practice we are proud of.

The 6 colors of Kakishibu from 2022 are available now on our website (http://upcyclestitches.com/store/). I hope I can share this beautiful color from “Sun” – as Japanese say Kakishibu Dye as “Sun-Dye”.

毎年恒例になってきている柿渋染め。昨年も無事形にすることができて、ようやくアメリカでも販売ができるだけの数が揃いました。不安要素が多い毎日、染めたカセの数は決して多くないのですが、何はともあれ継続できていることに感謝をしています。

こちら、福袋にも紛れ込んだ糸なので、日本の在庫数を確認しながら日本のウェブサイトも準備します。もし購入のご希望があれば、このアカウントのDMまでご連絡下さい。ウェブサイトにて取り上げる前にお取置きすることは可能です(値段は前回の柿渋染めと一緒になる予定です)。今年もまた染められるといいなぁと心から願いつつ、今日も刺し子を楽しんで以降と思っています!
