This is a photo of on-going “Furoshiki (風呂敷)” as requested. – it is stitched almost free-hands. I will see how it will be. I don’t know when & how, but I am looking forward to presenting it here as the completion. I just made another Reel to show how I would stitch this with the advertisement for the Workshop I offer this weekend & early next week, in Berkeley. Please check @SashikoStory for the Reel.
☆
I will be gone for almost a week for the Workshop. Most of the business as Upcycle Stitches will be temporarily closed. The webstore will be opened, but the other reactions will be delayed. I appreciate your understanding. I hope I can meet/see you there in Berkeley this weekend.

Changing Colors in one thread is pretty fun in stitching. We restocked 5 kinds of “Variegated Sashiko Threads” (hoping to do so more), and I enjoyed using all 5 different Variegated Sashiko Threads. I am still not sure if this Furoshiki (Wrapping Cloth) is my favorite, but it is true…

Dark Colored fabric (such as Indigo) + White Sashiko thread. This is the classic choice in enjoying Sashiko. Of course, it is my favorite. ☆ We have several kinds of white Sashiko thread available: One is original thread, and the other is bright thread. The biggest difference is whether the…
