Our Natural Dye Sashiko Threads are hand-dyed by Keiko Futatsuya, a member of SashiCo Artisan Group (@SashikoStory). As much as we aim to keep offering the “same” Color thread, since they are both Natural & hand dyed, all of the threads are categorized into “One of a Kind” Sashiko thread. Each batch creates unique colors, and when they are similar enough, we offer them as the same numbered Sashiko thread (Natural Dye & Murazome Dye Series).
☆
Occasionally, we get into a routine of creating the similar, but irregular, color over and over. This Indigo Green & Yellow Variegated Color is one of those. The photo is a comparison to our Murazome Series, M(1) – the Indigo Green Variegated Thread. In this the light shade is more like “yellow” rather than light green.
☆
We don’t know when/if we can recreate this color again since Keiko regained the routine of making regular Series. It is always our pleasant surprise to have these beautiful color from Nature & Human Hands.

I just received this green thread along with my order, and had the opportunity to embroider a small motif with it. The color changes are very beautiful!
