I have uploaded several tutorial videos on “How to Keep Your Sashiko Thread in a Good Shape”. I say out loud that the Sashiko Thread Matters: Not “any thread is fine” in Sashiko, especially if you would like to enjoy it & have a great result in maximum capacity.
☆
Upcycle Stitches used to offer a Paper Bobbin Paper. Unfortunately, the maker of the paper bobbin discontinued the item. There are many “similar” shaped paper bobbin, but the quality isn’t as good as the previous one: and the bad paper bobbin is no good to keep the thread in a good shape.
☆
While we talk to other makers, we concluded that we should make the paper bobbin for Sashiko Thread with the thickness & shape we like the most. Here is the outcome. They are now available in our Upcycle Stitches Store. You can wind it and make a good “Sashiko Thread Bobbin” that is so useful in many Sashiko project.

刺し子の糸の糸巻きを新調しました。初めてのグッズ制作です。予算の兼ね合いもあり派手さはないですが、自己主張もしつつ。また詳細は日本語のウェブサイトと@SashikoStoryで紹介しますね。

Restocked! The Black/Gray Color from Kakishibu (Japanese Kaki Persimmon Tannin Dye) are restocked now (a few skeins per color available).
