“All Different, All Good” is NOT an excuse to be okay with being unskilled. There are many Japanese Sashiko artisans who enjoy & practice Sashiko to be better. The concept of unifying the Sashiko from different artisans started way before I started sharing the Sashiko Stories on @SashikoStory. About two years back from the UnshinkI Jacket (20) in the previous post, we had this beautiful Jacket already. We continue. That’s how we try to protect the culture. I sincerely appreciate your support & interest.
UnshinKai Jacket (18)
Directed by Keiko Futatsuya with collaborating with 18 Online Sashiko Class Students’ Sashiko stitching (Class taught by Atsushi @SashikoStory in Japanese). A different design from the Unshinkai Jacket (20), but the same concept.
Estimate production lead time: 10 months.
MSRP: $3,000.00 and up.
Completely one of a kind Jacket. We will again ask the students to join the Jacket. This jacket will contribute to support the (rising) Sashiko artisans in Japan.
