Happy New Year! It is my pleasure to keep offering the best Sashiko supplies & materials. The first news for the new year is the annual event of “Fukubukuro”. The Fukubukuro will be available on January 2nd, around 8~9pm, EST in our webstore. I believe we do not have to worry about the unfortunate case of “Sold-Out”, but just in case, if you could leave a comment here which bag you would like to have, I can put yours aside. Then I will update the listing with available inventory. No commitment to purchase even if you leave the comment here. I just would like to know how many I can prepare. If the bag became sold-out within 24 hours, please let me know so that I can accommodate it for you. After Jan.3rd, I will add them back to the inventory. Please find more information in upcyclestitches.com

In 2021’s Fukubukuro, we have a theme for each bag. (A)-Keiko Fukubukuro is about “a lot of (a year amount) of thread”. As you know, the thread matters in Sashiko. So I want you to have enough thread with many colors for your great 2021. (B)-Azu Fukubukuro is about “an encouragement for you to start/continue Sashiko in 2021”. The Azu bag will have a good amount of fabric, thread, and enough supplies to prepare the fabric to start stitching (you may need to learn the basics if you are new to our Sashiko. We ask to learn “how to prepare the fabric mostly” (instead of offering the stitches-sized-line pre-printed fabric) – but no worry. I have tutorials already on Youtube).
☆
I hope to meet you in one of the Online Class / (hopefully) in person workshop & I am looking forward to seeing you again in 2021.

In between writing Sashiko Story, arranging (online) gathering, preparing the Sashiko Workshops, we made this kind of “Bookmarks” with leftover thread & scrap fabrics for this new year. It is indeed true that Sashiko is “stitching” to recycle the materials. It is very much against throwing away the thread/fabric we…

I am very much in love with this Indigo Blue, Hand-Dyed by Keiko @Sashi.Co. Kakishibu & this Indigo is my all-time favorite. The solid Indigo blue, as the second photo shows, can be very good on Denim. (Color won’t be washed away when the appropriate procedure is taken – like…

We believe in the “power” of hand-crafting. We dye our Sashiko Threads with our own hands & natural materials. Sashiko Threads matters. Knowing the difference in threads will help the artisans in making the difference, and the choice you make will make the future of “hand-made”. We have some Natural…

Happy 2021! I would like to order an Azu Bag (B), as I am just beginning. The plan is to do repairs on my farm and hiking cloths which are mostly in earth tones. I love blues, greens, browns and flower colors of yellow/gold red/orange. I will leave this to your expertise and be excited for what you select.

I’m considering both bags! I definitely want to get the Azu bag. I either like earthy/green or ocean tones! I love the variegated threads I’ve gotten from you this far.
