You may be surprised, but I have never received a “structured” Sashiko Lesson. I just had many teachers (Sashiko artisans), and I learned mostly by just looking. It is (was) quite common in Japanese craftsmanship/artisanship.

As I keep sharing in @Sashi.Co, my goal is to share the Sashiko we practice. To pass it down, I uploaded many videos of Sashiko stitching. Some are tutorials. Some are focused on stories. Most of them are Live Streaming with sharing the stitching & stories. If you wish to learn Sashiko, please watch them. I believe they are very informative (although it is not well-edited… I need to improve my skill there). If you do not have much time to learn by looking at someone’s stitching, then please take the Online Sashiko Class. In order to “master” the Sashiko, one may need a personal attention from the teacher or a quite big amount of time in the “try-and-error”. Online Sashiko Class provides comprehensive support for you to be able to stitch like I do in the Live Streaming. I can say it with confidence because there are so many students (I consider them Sashiko friends) who mastered the Sashiko Rhythmical Stitching (Unshin). It will, of course, support my Sashiko activities as well. Thank you very much for your interest in learning Sashiko.

I enjoy reading about your philosophies and in turn about Japanese culture. There is so much to be admired in Japanese culture. Thank you for sharing your skills and your ideas/thoughts.
