Thank you for the many comments in the previous post. Sashiko Running stitch & unique patterns are so beautiful, aren’t they? The Sample (on the photo) is made by one of my friends (previous students) with A-2 Indigo Dye Sashiko thread. She learned from me about a few years ago over the Internet. Her Sashiko stitches shine under the sun-light!! The whole kit requires about 1.5 to 2 skeins of Sashiko thread. It means almost 250 meters of stitching. A lot to enjoy.

Yes, I want you to enjoy the stitching itself. At the same time, we want you to keep using the Furoshiki you make & then mend it when it requires (after 5~10 years…?). We decided to include a small DIY kit to make a bag handle so you can make a bag & use it as an ecological fashion solution. I will make a video of how to make bags out of Furoshiki with those DIY bag handles as well. As I introduced on Youtube Live Streaming, Winter is the season for Sashiko. I will try my best to get it to you before Christmas if you could order it in a few weeks!
☆
I shall share my stitching on this sample after completing the current project.

After using these threads for more than a year, I am offering them in our webshop. I am kind of spoiled in “Sashiko Thread”. Since my childhood, I have been using the “Sashiko thread” we are proud of. Therefore, customers asked me my opinion of “alternative Sashiko thread”, I did…
