In Sashiko, thread makes a huge difference. There are many reasons for calling it “Sashiko Thread”. Since Sashiko is quite simple, the quality of the thread matters in the result.
☆
Upcycle Stitches are here to support your Sashiko experience. Please try out our thread. Our thread is very easy to get tangled for the purpose of Sashiko stitching. However, we also offer information on how to avoid the thread getting tangled. Again, we aren’t just a dealer or store. We are a group of Sashiko artisans who are passionate about sharing the authentic Sashiko experience. We can keep going thanks to your support.

Recently at an embroidery class I took a photo via a microscope to show ladies the difference in thread make up. Even the teacher was surprised as to the differences. A few of the students suggested that we could do this for all our work so we can use the most appropriate thread for what we are working on. I wonder if this could be done with your threads to show the staple of the good thread?

I use your thread and find it to be excellent for large projects. And the hand dyed colors make it a joy to the eye as well as to the hand. ❤️
