Before discussing what is “Right (Rules)” for Sashiko/Boro, please try to learn

Before discussing what is “Right (Rules)” for Sashiko/Boro, please try to learn what these Japanese words mean for the Japanese people. Before educating others by borrowing someone’s words, please pay respect to the “someone”. It is beautiful to see an alternation in culture. However, without learning the original form, it is not an alternation – just a violence.

No knots Sashiko in the photo. Why no knots? How to secure the stitches without knots? All of the answers are already provided. All the answers will be directly provided if you take the Online Class. What I am asking is just a small amount of respect and support.

In recent posts, I have been sharing the significance of the Japanese Ordinary – in which we tend to forget about in Westernization, but we all had it before when we “had to” stitch. I say it “Japanese Ordinary” because I can only talk on behalf of Japanese culture. However,…

A small brooch with cat figure, made from very small vintage fabrics. The extreme result of “Mottainai – Too good to waste.” Whenever Keiko cannot get rid of very small vintage fabric, and have some free time, she makes this cat brooch. We cannot make it as a regular product,…
