“Sashiko in the ordinary”. This is what Sashiko used to be for the Japanese, and what we (as @Sashi.Co) dream of again. We all benefit from industrial revolution & Mass-production/consumption. Ironically, though, the convenience increased the price of hand-made items.

There is something more than “how beautiful it is” in the hand-stitching. I thought it was just a personal perception. However, the more I learn about hand-stitching (Sashiko) by talking to many people, the more I get confident that there is something more in it. One day, I hope, the hand-made item will have its “ordinary” again.
