Dark Colored fabric (such as Indigo) + White Sashiko thread. This is the classic choice in enjoying Sashiko. Of course, it is my favorite.
☆
We have several kinds of white Sashiko thread available: One is original thread, and the other is bright thread. The biggest difference is whether the thread is bleached or not. The Original White (Ecru) has very beautiful natural white, and probably one of the most popular color in our store as well.
☆
Today, I would like to introduce the “More Ecru” White thread. It is more like a “cream color”. The difference is quite subtle, but there is definitely the difference. I got them from @Sashi.Co, and did not offer them for a while because we don’t know if we can continuously offer the same thread. The limited numbers in stock, and I wanted to share the beautiful “Cream Color” from untreated thread. (We are still experimenting, but this thread is also good for natural/artificial dyeing). We will keep offering what we can & what we thought we wouldn’t until we have this new “normal”.
☆
***The thread color is “T0”. Cotton 100%. Designed for Sashiko Stitching. A large skein of about 145 meter/158 yard.
