Keiko in @Sashi.Co started dyeing the thread for her own Sashiko projects sometime early in 2000’s (I don’t remember exactly when). In 2016, we started introducing them & offering them as purchasable threads for other Sashiko artisans/stitchers. Ever since, until we met experts in Kakishibu (Japanese Kaki Persimmon Tannin Dye), having a black/grey color from Natural Dye had been our dream. We are so happy to continue offering the Kakishibu Black/Grey to the world.

They are all hand-dyed with Natural Kakishibu Tannin. I gotta write the details of beautiful Kakishibu Dye one day… The color from the nature, both Kaki Persimmon & Sun is just beautiful.
