Our Sashiko Story to Your Sashiko Journey

We all look at the world the way we want to see, listen to what we want to under

We all look at the world the way we want to see, listen to what we want to understand, and read things to validate our own ideas. I am the same, although my goal is to learn by being honest and humble. We live in a society of “freedom”. There is Nothing to restrict one’s creativity. Therefore, it is important for me to share the “raw voice” of people behind the words. It is the Live Streaming, writing on the Internet, and the Online/In-person Sashiko class. Listening to the silent voice in the history – especially if they are still available. There are many people behind the words and the culture.

Another cultural observation here. ☆ In some culture (some Western), asking a question is admired, so people understand that asking questions is a good thing in general, correct? In Japanese culture, it is also good to ask questions in education (a teacher – a student relationship). However, asking a random…

I appreciate many people learning “What is Sashiko for us (for Japanese)” throughout my platform & classes. Similar to other cultures & cultural practice, Sashiko has become something different (not wrong, but not sufficient) in English. I accept, or even encourage, the change. I just want the change to be…

❤️❤️Here! Here! I totally agree! Listen to what those voices out there are saying. And not just those that echo our own. LISTEN! And open our eyes. Op n our minds!
