As I keep saying, the “Thread Matters in Sashiko”. We are proud of the thread we offer – yet it is one thickness only. It is specially designed for Sashiko, and we have been happy with it. However, when we introduce the culture of Sashiko, answering a request from customers/friends is also important. I have received several requests/questions if we have thinner threads. Yokota Daruma Thread is my answer.
☆
I spent about 1 year testing the thread. I wrote a blog article explaining the difference of each Sashiko thread thickness. Then… It took a while to come up with this “value pack”, which I wanted to do all the time. I prepared the 5 or 10 skeins of Daruma Sashiko thread with my favorite (necessary) 5 colors. The availability is 5 of thin/thick or both of these. Please check the product page from this post. I especially like the thin thread when I work on the Boro-to-be (Boro inspired) project – when I work on the general Sashiko, thread from @Sashi.Co is always my favorite. ☆

Slowly, but surely I am listing what we have created in the last 5 years for sale. We try our best to follow the practice the Japanese would have done a few hundred years ago… Of course, all-hand stitched with Japanese vintage fabric, with a lot of caring & stitching….
