One of my obsessions is a vintage fabric… not so much for the “Boro as the result (Art)”, but more like “the small swatches those even couldn’t become a part of Boro for some reasons”. I have collected a pile of small swatches of vintage fabrics. I am sorting them in this quarantine time.

I am also thinking to offer some of these vintage fabrics – some of them are as small as 2 inch square (There is a story behind it. I wlil share it somewhere). So… I am wondering what is a good way to offer. I don’t even know how to price them. Umm… Pricing per weight? Auction…? Or return for the support I receive…? If you have any good ideas how I can share my collection for supporting a business in this difficult time, please advise me. Thank you very much for your kindness!!

Maybe sort them into assorted bundles and sell them that way? I would definitely buy a surprise bundle. You could also do different sized bundles for different price points?
Oooo, I love this idea! I’ve been sewing masks and selling to raise money for Meals on Wheels. I’m saving all scrapes – including thread- and I don’t even know why. Imagining small bits might be used to “stuff”
Something in the future? But I am really drawn to tiny bits of fabric – especially if it’s old. I can’t wait to hear your story.
Check out @bitternbythebug. She’s in Australia and sells small pieces of indigo dyed fabrics, probably 3” x 3”. I purchased a sizable amount and have plans for my “stash”.
I would buy a bundle too. Just to sew into larger pieces to be used as table runners or if they are big enough as scarves
