This is not our Sashiko work. My friend (an online class graduate who I have not met in person) did this fantastic Sashiko denim. ☆
I never thought of myself as a good teacher. In 2017, I was invited to offer a “Sashiko workshop” in NYC. I met another dear friend there who has been continuously encouraging me to teach Sashiko. After offering my Sashiko workshop for more than 200 students (friends) in the last 3 years, and about 30 online Sashiko Class since 2019, I am a bit confident in what I teach.
☆
What I do is being sincere in what I do. It is difficult to teach something ordinary – and scary – and I had spent so much time developing both in-person & Online Class (same contents). Now, many Sashiko friends share their fantastic Sashiko work they enjoy. That’s the only reason for my confidence, and that’s what I truly want, after all. ☆
The Online Sashiko Class is not cheap in comparison to other online courses. However, I can probably say that my Online Sashiko Class is not similar to the “regular” online course. If you would like to know how to choose thread/tools, how to prepare the fabric, and how to stop the stitching, I already share them on Youtube for free. The Core of Sashiko is not there – somewhere a learne may (would) need my personal attention to be on the same page. The details can be found on the website from the profile. I limit the number of participants every month. I hope to meet you there. (There is an update for the graduate students. Also check our website, please). ☆

😍😍😍😍😍
I would love to learn from you, one day!!!
😮😮😮😮😮😮
These jeans are fantastic 💙
🙌😍
Its beautiful!! Thank u for your hard work and dedication👍🏾
I wanted to wait to learn in person from you, but I can say with confidence that the online class is great. Going at my own speed and not having to try to master everything in one day may in fact be better! (I still want to do an in person class, but that will wait)
💙 sometime i’d love to take an in person class from you…having purchased my materials from you I’d like to pass on a bit of information to others. i’m retired + learned to sew @ age 11 …all that time + FINALLY i have fabulous scissors!!! makes me think i’m cutting softened butter ( do be careful) “silky” stainless steel from japan- best i’ve ever used…
