Thank you very much for MANY inquiries about the Sashiko face mask I made. Unfortunately, the Sashiko masks are not for sale for now. It takes a long time to make – if I consider it as my commission work, I need to charge accordingly. Listing a Sashiko mask for a sale with a $100.00 price tag (or more) is outside of my comfort zone. I can see many people will bark at me. Hahaha. ☆
Instead of me making for you, I prepared a set of all the materials that I used for making the Sashiko mask for sale (Link available from the profile). I have already a rough tutorial & live streaming showing how I made it, and I will keep updating the information as much as I can. My message is to encourage you to try & enjoy Sashiko, so please try to make it by yourself.
☆
At the same time, if you are thinking of getting a Sashiko face mask to support what we do (like a commemorative to support for Sashiko as the art in this crisis), I am happy to make one for you when I can (maybe after Covid-19). People verbally admire our Sashiko as Art, but I couldn’t get what it actually meant. However, I recently received a kind message & finance support saying “use the fund to support your Art” without asking for a return. I felt like someone hit my head with a hummer – and for this kind of support, I would like to “give” back something. I am not good at just taking/receiving…
☆
Thanks to my dear friends in NYC, dear supporters on Patreon, dear customers/friends who purchased our “Wearable/Usable Art”, and many customers/new friends who choose to purchase our Sashiko supplies, we can continue offering the Sashiko we are in love with. I am a believer in humanity (born good). This is a very difficult time – and my Sashiko journey of 15 years has never been easy, but I am more confident that we can contribute to humanity somehow with Sashiko & with very caring people around us. I appreciate all of your kindness, support, and interest in what we do. Making a Sashiko mask is fun, too 😀 ☆

As a fellow Artist I understand what you say. It was easy to sell my graphic design sill to a client but difficult to consider anyone was interested in the Art I created for fun (and maybe therapy). I answered an ad for an Art Show that would raise money for a child who needed heart surgery. That was the first time I sold my fun Art (not “business”, graphic design). It was Amazing to see patrons enjoy my pieces at the gallery show so much that now I display permanently and sell often. Your work most certainly is Art….soooo Beautiful and inspiring

And that’s fair. It is priced accordingly. It takes a considerable amount of time..💜
