I share why it is so important to use the “Appropriate Sashiko Thread” in your Sashiko project. Thread does matter, and it is because of the purpose of stitching. If the purpose is different, then the Sashiko project requires different types of fabric.
☆
I have been longing to introduce this, but it took a lot longer to make a product page. Unlike the Japanese who made Boro a few hundreds years ago, we have choices to make our Sashiko easier & less stressful. One of the important processes in “Boro-to-be with the Sashiko project” is to secure the fabric for the patching. There are many ways to stabilize the fabric on the other fabric, but one of my favorites is the basting – with fine basting thread. ☆
This basting thread by Yokota has all of the characteristic that I need for the basting thread. It is now my “Carry-on” thread in my Sashiko stitching Box.

Hello! I am in the online group and I am looking for a tutorial on how to get the thread on the paper bobbin. Would like to start there before I try a stich.
