As you may know already, this account is a duo of a mother & her son. Atsushi tells a story while stitching, and Keiko does whatever she feels like in Sashiko. I am left brain, Keiko is right brain. She is a nightmare for me as a mother, but a genius for what she does. ☆
She experienced the worst. So, she really doesn’t get down. She believes that we will be fine as long as we keep enjoying Sashiko. Therefore, her Sashiko is not only my mother’s work, but also the place where I can rinse myself. After a few days of no-texting (I was quite busy), she sent me this picture. This is the Sashiko I would like to pass down. Yes, although I do not consider myself “Artist”, this is “Usable (To be Wearable)” Art. ☆

自宅待機生活＆遠隔仕事が続くと、世の主婦・主夫の皆様の仕事は激増することと思います。三食作り、洗い物して、家事して、子供のホームスクールもする。いやはや。毎日この時間（夜10時）まで動きっぱなしです。それでもまだ今月もお給料は頂けることに感謝しながら、勿論最悪の場合も考えながら、僕の仕事にもできるだけ影響が出ないように、目の前のことにまず精一杯に。

昔から「心配して備える」ことは僕の役目だったかもしれません。恵子さんは、「刺し子してればなんとかなる」という根拠のない自信を持っている方なので、僕が不安になった時は、恵子さんの作品（の過程）を見るのが一番の特効薬です。めちゃくちゃ忙しくて恵子さんにも連絡ができない数日の後に、ふっと送られてきた画像がこちら。刺し子って、こういう風合い出せるんですね……。「運針を教えること」には結構な自信を持てている僕ですが、こういう刺し子を見ると、まだまだ遠い目標だなぁと思うのです。これほどまでに祈りを感じる刺し子はまず出会えない（手前味噌ですが）
