Whew. Playing with 5 years old daughter while maintaining the ordinary is kind of impossible. Teachers really should be valued more. ☆
Please allow me to make 2 announcements instead of Sashiko Story today.
☆
1. I wrote an article about the handmade mask. I apologize for the rough article & pattern, but I think it is better than nothin (waiting until the school starts).
2. I receive some advice that it may be a good time to encourage people to learn Sashiko online – because people have a good amount of time in the house. I decided to offer a special deal (About 35% of fee back as a store credit). Please check the details from the story & link on profile. I will try my best to make a shipment to your house as soon as I can for your learning opportunity in Sashiko. You will receive the same experience as the ordianary. ☆

I once wrote that the selfish reason for me to share the Sashiko we practice is to leave something behind for my daughter. I have goals & dreams in Sashiko – to pass down this culture as a “whole” practice. However, after all, I would like to “leave” something about…

The first Sashiko Live Streaming since late (Besides the one I made a Sashiko Mask). Sharing the unedited & unmodified image of Sashiko is the best way to introduce what we really do – in the Internet society where “anyone” can be “anybody”. ☆ I hope I can communicate that…

In the last 2 years, I believe I have never had any nasty arguments with anyone who came to me to learn Sashiko. Some are professionals in textile. Some are teachers of crafting – even Sashiko. There are so many reasons I keep saying: “Sashiko (introduced/taught) in English is NOT…

❤️ yes our teachers are going to get a lot more respect than they have recently. And we are dealing with one or a few they wrangle up to 30 children at a time.
