School is closed. So, a sewing project with my daughter. A superhero mask! She prefered not to have my Sashiko stitching on it. Instead, she has her 2 favorite heroes on the front. ☆
I know the mask is not popular in the U.S. However, it would be a good project to do together with kids? It was a bit difficult to make one for 5 years old, but she helped a lot. (She needs to learn how to wear before how to make one). When I have time, I plan to have my own with some Sashiko stitching and/or some beautiful Kofu-ToBe Japanese fabric.

学校休校で思うのは、マジで子育てはフルタイムの仕事だなぁと。「子供と一緒にリモートワーク」とか無理。「1 + 1 は 2」です。リモートにしたら、「1.5」になるからとかじゃないよね。なので、刺し子関連のお仕事のスピードは落ちます。ごめんなさい。

マスクは未だに売ってないので、マスクを娘と一緒に手作り。5歳児なので、彼女が手伝ってくれたものは形になりませんでしたが、とりあえず勉強になったことが一つ。「マスクは付け方を知らないと変なことになる。」よく考えてみると、娘はマスクをした人を日常で見たことがないんです。手作りの布マスクは人生初めて。俺も説明無しで作り出したので、彼女は何を作っているのか最後までわからなかったっぽい。「マスク＝仮面」だと思ってたっぽい。次は俺のマスクなのですが、刺し子したらマスクもありなのかしらん。手作りの段階で飛沫防ぐくらいしか意味ないとは思うけれど、無いよりは良いかな……と。ちなみに布の間には晒をいれたので、それなりに水分は吸収してくれます。晒は凄いなぁ。

Was about to ask same question or suggested the posting of a few patterns online as in some countries it’s impossible to get masks even though the medical staff recommend that a mask is worn when seeking medical aid.
