The Sashiko Mastery @ QuiltCon (FRI) was a great success. As always, although it is a full day workshop, I forgot to take pictures. I don’t stop moving in the workshop, and I always forget. I will try my best tomorrow & share how the workshop was in the Live Streaming. Today, I will just sleep for another big day tomorrow. ☆

After the workshop over Happy Hours, I had a great meeting with a fabric artist, @madeorremade. I enjoy Sashiko & Denim. His work is probably the “leading scene” of this “Upcycle” trend. Sashiko is NOT equal to Upcycle. The Upcycle is a very important part of Sashiko, but not “identical” to each other. His art is the leading icon of “Upcycle”, I felt. I will talk about his work a little bit more later on. We enjoyed the conversation as if we knew each other for a long time. ☆ – – – ☆

It was a quite wild month, March 2024. We went through several big decisions in life, and I feel positive that we made good decisions. We all fear the “Changes”. Therefore, it is very challenging to change when we “try” to change it. An effective way to change oneself is…

3 hours of live streaming on Friday. The first half is about a project of “From Scratch to Complete” and the 2nd half was on denim repairing. A glimpse of Asano-ha is what I love the most in denim mending. 2018-03-30 16:42:26 Source

Early Completion of my current Sashiko project – Asanoha on the large fabric for the door curtain (to block the cold air). Most of the stitching process is available to watch on Youtube Archives (https://www.youtube.com/c/SashiCo/). ☆ The primary purpose of today’s Sashiko is to “decorate” fabric. To make fabric more…
